Job Description
We are currently seeking a Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our Canadian Sales team. This role is a collaborative position with quota-carrying responsibility for generating net-new sales pipeline. The BDR is responsible for driving targeted, outbound prospecting activities into a set of assigned accounts. The BDR is an extension of the Sales team with a main focus of identifying, developing and creating new business opportunities for the Field Sales Executive. The BDR is responsible for progressing sales opportunities to stage 2 in the sales cycle. Create and prioritize strategic target account lists within defined territory with support from the field sales executives as well as field sales management Leverages strong prospecting and business development skills to generate incremental revenue opportunities thru outbound calling/prospecting Utilizes in-depth knowledge of Kronos products and solutions to enhance the clients or prospects knowledge of Kronos and communicate the value of Kronos solution to generate interest and additional meetings Partners with the field sales team to promote Kronos’s business initiatives and to enhance the customer or prospects knowledge of Kronos’s products, programs, and services Employs expert probing skills to expand contacts or define new product requirements within a prospect and/or customer, while increasing revenue and teaming with field sales Maintains a high number of outbound calls and targeted emails to increase number of live conversations per day calling into prospects/customers Provides qualified lead information to the field sales organization to assist in account progression or sales pipeline acceleration Qualifications Qualifications: 2 plus years previous business development, prospecting and cold calling, and/or sales experience in a high technology environment preferred BA/BS Preferred Skills & Competencies: Understands the industries Kronos sells into and can have an intelligent business conversation with a prospect/customer that the prospect/customer finds valuable Comfortable having business conversation with C-level titles Utilizes all pertinent social media tools to improve prospecting success.
